Major works executed comprised mainly of Rehabilitation and reconstruction works of a 63 km bitumen standard road. Rehabilitation of existing road including Improvement of the vertical and horizontal alignment of the existing road. Rehabilitation of the existing pavement and shoulders inc1uding widening of embankment and shoulders as necessary to attain a 7.0 m wide carriageway and 2 m wide shoulders on either side;
  • Construction of strengthening overlay of Dense Bitumen Macadam and asphalt concrete;
  • Single surface dressing to carriageway and double surface dressing on shoulders;
  • General improvement of the existing drainage facilities, including installation of new drainage system

Malaba Bridge (Border Post between Kenya & Uganda) which is a 45 metres, 2 span Concrete and steel composite bridge with carriageway of 11.2 metres wide including pedestrian walkway, upto 6m high abutments/piers, 8m long x 6m high wingwalls/ retaining wall (Concrete amount 1,121.85 m3)
